Unfortunately, Tessa passed away Friday, April 3@ 5:05am from a rare blood disorder (only 5 other recorded deaths in foals). Tessa has gone to “horse heaven” (there is a famous horse saying – “God forbid that I should go to any heaven where there are no horses”. R.B. Cunningham-Graham 1917 in a Final letter to Theodore Roosevelt).Tessa was sweet and brave and captured our hearts in her short 10 days.Thank you to Maria Calabrese and the North Bay Nugget for sharing Tessa’s Story.
Somewhere in times own space.
There must be some sweet, pastured place.
Where creeks sing on, and tall trees grow.
Some paradise where horses go.
For by the love that guides my pen.
I know great horses live again.
